Winter isn't necessarily the time of year when you think about pruning your trees _ at least not where I live. However, having a pole saw is really handy when heavy snow or an ice storm results in broken branches. Black + Decker sent me their PP610, 10-inch Corded Pole Saw to try out and it beats the heck out of the manual power-lever style tree trimmer I've been using.

Ideal for cutting high hanging or hard-to-reach branches the 6.5 Amp 10 in. pole chain saw offers a powerful motor for your most demanding cuts. The inline motor allows for direct pruning and a clear line of sight. It also features a 10 in. Oregon low-kickback bar and chain for improved cutting performance on larger branches. An automatic oiling system ensures constant bar and chain lubrication and it has a clear oil window that allows the user to easily gauge the oil level.

The Power Smart PS6108 8 Inch 6 Amp Extending Corded Electric Pole Saw with Automatic Lubrication System is great for those tough to reach jobs or ground work.
